Terms of service
The service
PatentWizard provides AI-assisted drafting of US patent application documents. The service is a software tool; it is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice (see the Legal disclaimer, which is part of these terms).
Your content and confidentiality
You retain all rights to the invention descriptions you submit and the documents generated from them. We store your content privately, do not make it public, and do not use it to train AI models. Generated documents are delivered through expiring, signed links.
Credits and subscriptions
You can pay per patent or subscribe. A patent credit is a one-time purchase that drafts one patent, including a limited number of re-drafts of that same patent; a failed draft is refunded automatically. Credits do not expire while your account is active.
The Pro subscription renews monthly through Stripe and allows unlimited drafting subject to fair use — normal use by one person or team, not automated or resold access. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. USPTO government fees are not included and are paid by you directly to the USPTO.
Acceptable use
You agree not to submit content you have no right to use, not to attempt to access other users' data, and not to use the service to produce filings you know to be false or fraudulent.
Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated output may be inaccurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for loss of patent rights arising from your use of, or reliance on, generated documents.
Termination and changes
You may delete your account at any time. We may update these terms with notice; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
